Finally, it’s a brand new year! Like most businesses, you are looking to set goals and financial projections for the year. So the question is what are you doing to get your business rolling for the new year?
For New Businesses
Starting a new business is always exciting and the thrill and opportunities is endless. So if you are a new business and are enthusiastic about your business, then here are a few business tips to get your year rolling:
- If you haven’t created a business plan, then create one now. Whether you are in a partnership or a sole proprietor, you need to have some sort of plan to operate. The sooner you get this task out, the better you are. Remember, a business plan is a reference on how you will operate as a business.
- Set goals. I cannot emphasize enough on setting goals.
“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!”
~ Benjamin Franklin
- Be accountable to a mentor. Why a mentor you ask? Have you heard of professional athlete without a coach? If you are serious about your business, especially if you are starting, then get yourself a business coach / mentor. It will do miracles for your business, I promise!
Seasoned Business Owners
Most season business owners have it down. If you are a business is hitting your fifth year, then think about the successes over the first 4 years and tweak it for the fifth year. Business is all about trial and error, so if you don’t try, then you will never know. Lastly, your brand is your identity, so guard it like a hawk. If your brand is old, then plan on revamping your business brand to give it an uplift. You website falls under the same category. So if you have a website that is more than 3 years old, it’s time for an updates, especially since we are in a new era of mobile device users.
Simply Dezined is entering into it’s 5th year of business and we continually tweaking areas which can help improve our customer experiences. We would like to thank our customers for their continued support and having the confidence in how we do business.
In conclusion, set your goals, have a plan and let’s make 2015 an amazing year!
